I took a hiatus on getting this done and finally got back to doing it… by starting to listen to every CD in my collection, which is about 350 CDs. I been listing all the ones that don’t really blow me away or cause any emotional reaction on amazon and they’re slowly selling for pretty reasonable prices – between $3-6 per CD after all the fees, which is more than I’d get for taking them to the store even though it’s a bit more work.
Trying to get rid of most my vinyl after this is going to be really unpleasant. Uck.

I have so many CDs I don’t even know what some of them sound like anymore… I’m guessing there are some gems in there that I’ve forgotten about. I’m not secure enough to burn everything I own to MP3s and get rid of it. So thus starts listening to everything and listing the clunkers on amazon.com and half.com … I just took one to the post office today, which I comically sold on amazon.com for $2 MORE than I originally paid for it. Whee! Definitely could use the cash, too.

Sold some cd’s today. I sold them for 14 bucks in trade and one $1 cd. but it was worth it, because if i would not bought the 1 cd it would of been $12 cash. Score me! 14 more bucks but i think I got ripped b/c there was a perfectly good Anti-Flag cd in the bunch that sells for a decent amount on ebay. but i am to lazy to sell thinks on ebay.

This has been one of the most satisfying things I’ve ever done. You get rid of clutter, and it makes you want to get rid of more.

I did this only recently and managed to procure a huge amount of store credit at my local CD/DVD emporium (which I quickly turned into DVD sets of my favorite TV shows…)
