How I did it: I'd always wanted to go. My boyfriend and I had never been there, so we thoughtfully planned the holiday and went as soon as we could afford it! Living in Europe, Paris seemed reasonably affordable, as the Euro is nationwide. However, I've heard other people experiencing the expensive side of it, coming mainly from North America! Trust me though, taxis are dirt cheap than those from Dublin!! Read how I did it…
How I did it: my friend and i saved a lot of money for the whole experience. we bought our tickets through the STA (student travel) at our college. We flew from denver to london (with a stop in phily i think?) and after spending a couple days in england we took the train to dover and caught a ferry to france. from there we took a train to paris and stayed in a hostel. we went to the louve and champ elysee and had a hard time eating vegan! How I did it: My husband flew me into Amsterdam to meet him during his leave. We took the train over to Paris and stayed for a couple of days. We used the metro a lot, which saved us a lot of time and money. It was pretty easy to get around, just look for maps. Read how I did it…

Booked flights and hotel in advance – went for the weekend, Was helped considerably as my friend was studying in France and acted as my tour guide.
In fact we even ended up attending a ‘boursoir?’ party – party that the rich families of France throw to teach their children how to socialise. They were all dressed in ball gowns, top hats, canes etc we were pretty much in jeans and T-shirts and they say the English have no style….........

In one month I’ll be touring France! I’ll start in Paris, and end up in Nice, or Monaco! I’m so excited to see the people there and say hello. Quand je suis la, j’espere que je peux parler avec beaucoup de personnes!

We (my boyfriend, sister and her boyfriend) finally finally managed to get around to booking eurostar tickets and hotel for mid-April, and now I can’t wait! Bought a travel guide yesterday and plan to get the LP guide out the local library sometime next week. :)
