have goats as pets

I’m not going to list this as an “I give up” as I WILL have goats as pets some day. But for now, with my husband losing his job and me in debt, I’m just going to let this sit here – to remind me I have a date with some caprines in the future. I am so blessed, I really don’t mind holding off on this a little longer. The chickens are keeping me well amused, it’s almost time to plant garlic, the wild geese are flying overhead as they wing their way south. We have a good roof over our heads, our children are all healthy and persuing their dreams, my job is allowing me 10 hours of OT a week (I love my job, so it isn’t a big deal to work 10 hours a day 5 days a week). I have renewed my AOPA membership, so even though I am not physically flying at the moment, I have the tools to keep studying and learning until such time as we are financially able for me to persue this again. Life is good and we are so blessed. Waiting a bit on the goats is not a big deal.

Good meat and milk goats. Maybe 4 does. The does would be pets, but the babies would be for the freezer or to sell. We’ve got the land, now, but Chickens come first. Want to ease into this farming life.
