How to be a vegan"Best thing I've ever done."
How I did it: I watched the documentary earthlings, which really made me think about the choices I was making. I hadn't thought about the fact that in consuming these products I was supporting and contributing to the exploitation and unnecessary harm of sentient beings. That was not something I wanted to do, so I made a conscious decision to stop. I have been vegan now for 3 months and plan to be for the rest of my life. Lessons & tips: TAKE YOUR B12!!!!! Resources: You must watch this Documentary! http://veg-tv.info/Earthlings

How I did it: I was already a vegetarian and making the switch to vegan was easier than imagined. Make sure you read your labels of course. Also they have vegan cheese, milk and ice cream which taste just as good. :) Read how I did it…
How I did it: This was so easy. First i just cut the most obvious things out then i started reading food labels and sticking to more reliable brands :) The allergy section is really useful! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I started reading a lot of books and materials about veganism. There is a big importance for knowing what foods you need to eat in order to get the nutrition you need. Read how I did it…

I think it has been four years now, with some minor slips here and there. I am glad to have done it, because it means I am not giving my money to those huge conglomerations that think that animals are just units of production.
Back in 1987 I became a vegan, I continued on that path for 7 years until I met my wife, who became my ex-wife. Once I met her I stopped being a vegan, I stopped being myself. From 1994 until November of 2007 I was a lacto/ovo Pescetarian. Basically I ate some fish every now and again and I consumed some dairy and egg or had foods with those in them. I considered myself a vegetarian though really I was not. In November of 2007 I decided to go back to being a vegan…no animal products whatsoever. I’m not going to go into the reasons why I went back, I guess if you really want to know you can ask me, suffice to say it was the best decision I’ve made for myself in the last 14 years. “Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet” Albert Einstein
i realy want to do this but i dont think i can give up everything at once tho.what do you think i should give up first?
for the animals
for my health
for my environment
no meat or animals products for me! :D oyes.
Recently,I just found out that being a vegan is not a bad idea.I mean, our human body,as I read off the web,is made to consume veggies. To think how much I used to hate veggies when I was a kid.I would just plainly chuck it at one side of the plate, and only to get scolded by my mom.She would harp on and on about the benfits of veggies, like how it would make my skin nicer and stuff…
Well,I didn’t actually believe in it until I make a promise to abstain from meat when I did badly for my general papers and had to re-do it.To me,it was a big deal.Because,I didn’t did badly in exams or test before when I actually put in effort. So I was really devastated.
And I got in touch with the spiritual side of myself.I started to read lots of Buddhism book which was really very inspiring. And,I got to know about karma and past lives. It really get into my head and got me thinking for awhile. So,I thought why not, start a habit first. If it works, then good,If it doesn’t well, there’s always chances to do so again.
And so,I did well for my exams and not only that, because there was a healthy glow on my cheeks!I love it to the max!Funny side, imagine life without blusher.haha!I definitely can imagine that now if anybody were to ask me that question.
Well, that lasted for a year, then due to circumstances like having to eat out with friends and having no courage to make clear with them that I can’t take meat.I started to eat meat all over again…
Well, that just didn’t end there until my grandpa passed away and the whole family had to abstain from meat again. For a total of 100 days.I didn’t eat meat for more than 100 days though, for a couple of months and until someone scolded me,which is my ex-boyfriend,for not eating meat and claiming that I am still on the puberty stage and stuff.
darn..a young lady with no sense of righst of her own..
Then I got in touch with yoga and after neraly 5 months of it,which is now,I start to try and get use to a vegan diet.Of course,I don’t just push myself into it.Just last saturday,I had chicken rice and for some reasons,I felt bloated the very next day.Two days kater, which is now,I avoid meat stuff and try to divert the attention away by doing breathing and so far,I’m doing well with it!
I learn that we just have to control our mind and not the other way round.Furthermore, what’s the benefit of eating meat when you can also get the benefits from having vegan diet, right?
I made it to vegetarian. All I need to get rid of now is dairy and eggs. I’m addicted to cheese and I everything I cook tends to have eggs and milk in it. Today, for some reason, I started thinking about meat and I actually felt sick. Mom will be proud!
I am currently a vegitarian and have stayed away form straight milk and eggs. I want to do this for the animals … giving bread up is sinchy its the cheeese:[ 3
I was a vegan for 2 months. But I can’t do it again. For one, I don;t have the resources available to me to do it right now, I have exams and am already stressed. My hair had started to drop out. Right now, I’m not even a vegetarian…I just don’t have the mindspace to do this right now. Added to the fact that my family was constantly harassing me about it, are doctors and participate in the meat-loving Atkins diet…
