I ‘m in college now, I have a different style, and need a better suited mature jacket for a young lady like me.:)I thinking a long or short trench coat, coat with some fur on inside for warmth, leather jacket, and etc.

How I did it: I found this coat by accident. It fit me perfectly and, in my opinion is timeless and flatering. It's a DKNY. I went to the DKNY store in Montreal and tried it on. I loved it but it would have cost me $800 tax in which is why I hesitated even though I was in love with it. I decided to see if I could find anything similar online and ended up finding the exact same coat for $238 at nordstrom.com. I bought it right away and am loving it!!! Read how I did it…

ajje has moved the early to bed goal up her priorities list; sleep matters!
The coat I’m currently wearing is threadbare and worn out. I really need a new one! Let’s hope that I can still get one in the sale.
I’ve wanted a Mackage coat for 3 years but something always stops me from getting one. This is the year!
Well, as of my last entry, I was looking for something puffy and warm. But I have lately been watching a lot of the show “What Not to Wear” on which they make over people’s wardrobes, and instead of wanting something functional, I am now really wanting something casual yet stylish. And colorful! The search continues…
Well, went back to Kohl’s, where I found a beautiful knee-length black coat with a bit of pretty (non-lame) floral embroidery on it. And best of all, I got a huge discount over and above the regular sale price because it was missing the zipper pull thing. Easy to replace! But it’s dressier than the last one I bought, so I still need to find that everyday coat.
At this rate, it’ll be summer before I can check this goal as “done”!
Well, I went to Kohl’s and found a black wool peacoat that fits pretty nicely and was on GOOD clearance. I’d still like to find something puffy and warmer for everyday wear, so I can keep the black one looking nice instead of wearing it out every day. So as soon as I find one more that I like, this will be checked off!
I am in dire need of a new winter coat, but I can’t seem to find one that I actually both like and can afford! I’ve had the same black coat for, oh, at least 8 years now, and it’s on its last legs.. lining’s torn up, and lint just won’t come off anymore. I’ve got a couple of corduroy coats that I usually wear, but they’re just not all that warm. And for work (really casual office) I usually wear fleece pullovers, which are warm but just not stylish in the least.
I’ve been shopping a bit now that winter coats are starting to go on sale, but I’m just not liking any of them much, and the couple that I have found that I like are still too expensive for my current budget. Tried consignment shops, but no luck. Thinking maybe I should try a couple of trips to Goodwill and consignment stores in the wealthier parts of town; maybe I’ll find a nicer selection there than I have at the ones closer to my house.
