review books & start my book log

I’ve always read lots of books but I never kept track. For school this year my English teacher encouraged me to keep a log. I’ve read 59 books since August 28, 2006!

Ok i admit i had help with this one because my friend bought me a journal for my birthday. It’s really lovely and i’ve almost finished my current book so that will be my first entry.
It’s even got a section where you can write your favourite passages. One of the best gifts i’ve ever been given.

Had this big discussion on the tram home with my friend about reading and keeping a ‘book diary’. it lasted all the way down Swanston St in rush hour traffic then right down St Kilda Rd until the junction. I was only 2 stops away from home before i bothered to ask how her day was. Point being…i’m inspired and i’m going to do it. Give in to my nerdiness.

well took the first step of actually asking Neil if i could contribute to the magazine and he said “sure” but havent actually gotten round to getting any books from him…that was about 6 weeks ago!
