finally…. I’m done with all my classes. Now, I began filling out forms and waiting for approval to take my state exam. In the mean time studying for the state exam.
ahhhhh so close but yet so far…...
How I did it: This one is easy and well worth the trouble. Go with an online education provider such as Van Ed, BootStraplearning or Kaplan. They are all about the same in quality - go with the one that gives you the best price. You can easily finish up the education requirement in less than a month if you go the online route (vs. 3 semesters the community college route!) Pass the test, find a broker and you are in bidness!
The commission that I received for purchasing my own house more than paid for all of the expenses I had incurred obtaining my license. I do this part time
Lessons & tips: The commission that I received for purchasing my first house more than paid for all of my expenses obtaining my license and real estate is a side job for me - I now earn most of my commissions through referrals - finding an agent for people I meet (usually .25% of the sales price).
Resources: I got my requirements through BootStrapLearning.com because they had the best deal at the time (ask for a discount if you can't find a coupon). If you are looking to make a career of real estate start out with a large broker that has a GOOD sales program. Sales training strategies and time management are critical to be really successful.

Just an updated on my journey to obtain my real estate license.
Its been about 3 years since I’ve been in a classroom. When class started it was like riding a bike. I finished real estate principle I and II over the weekend and passed the class with a 95 & 98 on the exam. I’m currently finishing up a class online.
I’m contemplating if I should sign up for the Green Designation certificate.

I’ve been looking at them for quite some time but didn’t have the guts to click “sign up” and I finally signed up for my real estate classes.
I signed up at Champion Real Estate School, taking 4 PM classes and 1 online class. September is gonna be a busy month for me.
I’m pretty excited to be in a classroom since I graduated in Dec. 2006.

Signing up for mykut classes in the next week.
I talked to my mom and as we all know, Moms always know best! :) I usually don’t see this right away because I am just as stubborn and hard-headed as she is but push come to shove…she’s right. She has been “suggesting” to me to get my real estate license for a few years now. For general purposes of educating and preparing myself for the real world, house hunting and all but even more importantly, seeing as how my new career is in property management, this could further my career. Granted I’m not sure property management is what I want to do for the rest of my life, but I’m damn good at it and who knows what could come of it. Maybe one of these days I’ll save myself the trouble and just listen! :)
Kymieann I HATE MY FUCKING MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did 3 modules yesterday and it took me 2 hours. It’s so monotonous because I’ve been doing this since I was 17 … I know most of the answers and some of the questions are just plain and simple. Hopefully I will do 3 more modules tonight or tomorrow.
