Got my contacts! I can finally put the old coke bottle glasses back in their case and enjoy the self-esteeme that my dashingly stunning eyes offer. Plus having peripheral vision again is a plus!
How I did it: I had no health insurance, my glasses were old, my contacts were scratching my eyes, and I had no money. Once I got some cash, I was like "screw it" and I bought some contacts. I didn't want my eyes to get any worse and I'm glad I got them cause now I can see the road.

So, I’m pretty sure my contacts have arrived. Only problem, the package is being held prisoner in my landlord’s office. I can only go in and pick them up between 9 and 5 when she is in the office. Only problem…I have this little thing called ‘work’ to keep me preoccupied during that time frame. It looks like I will need to arrange to take some time off from work in order to see clearly again.

Called my student insurance company and found out what my coverage is. Then called my eye doctor back home to see if he’ll ship my (rather unique) perscription to my new address. He will. All systems go. I should be seeing clearly in about two weeks!

finally ordered a few new pairs on friday. nothing inspires you to do something like the sense of immediacy that comes with realising you’ve lost your second-to-last lens.

At least until my summer finances are more definite.

So I can’t wear them anyhow. Second of all, I am due for an optometrist appointment and possibly an updated prescription (although according to the optometrist I visited when I last had a check-up, my prescription had not changed much at all).
I am tired of wearing my glasses all the time. I don’t think I see nearly as well, and I hate the fact that I have essentially no peripheral vision when I wear them.
I think I will call for an appointment tomorrow!
I’ve been putting this off despite the headaches…Last Tuesday my husband and I were at the mall we dropped by this eyeglass place and they had a promo – contacts for half the price, well we couldn’t pass it up. Haha I can see clearly again!
