I went to the Library on Friday. Both my back and upcoming schedule are thanking me for not going crazy and checking out more than fifty books and other items as I usually do.
I kept it light this time. Most of what I got was about Psych, Fiction, Knitting, Chess, the History, Science, and General description of Sports (I promised a friend I’d read about Cricket…goodness help me…).
It was ironic though. I actually had an easier time of finding things according to their classification number than their Alphabetical reference. I wish Fiction would be put under the system…
I glorify that I lugged home sixteen books and a DVD on Chess.
Obviously I’m a bit of a nerd. But you know what? I revel in it. I couldn’t possibly live as a jock or a cool guy. I met my wife by being a nerd. We’re nerds together. And it works out perfectly.
lol…just one hour later and I already found a way to glorify my nerdiness and let it all out! Read this and cheer me… ;)
Don’t have an iPod but an iRiver but the content is similar. Pimsleur mp3s too (farsi and korean) and lots of audio books (like “learning to learn faster”). Hint for ya all: stay away from those subliminal sleep learning mp3s while driving…tried them once but they are only fun in the first five minutes. After that it gets pretty dangerous… ;)
Moreover I wear glasses and dig everything that has a keyboard and an on/off switch, which makes me look nerdy instantly.
So far I have no idea what I could do to glorify my nerdiness but I’ll sit down and think about that. Isn’t that what we nerds always do? Sit down and think about it? It’s very likely I’ll do that in the library.
