So, let's try to tell a few words... 2 years ago

First, I’ve discovered two fascinating countries. I particularly enjoyed Bolivia, the people, the landscapes, the cities…Well, I can only write banalities here, but I would love to share the pictures. If anybody wants to see them, just send me you e-mail and I’ll give you the link to a selection of a few pics… well, 100 or 150 out of the 400 I took…

Second, I’ve met a lot of great people. Being alone made things much more easy, speaking English and Spanish two, it was just great to be able to communicate with everybody… Chilean and Bolivian people felt much more easy to talk to a lonely tourist, and my road also crossed a few other tourists’ one… Two French boys I hope to see again in Paris, a young (well, she was 19, which make her the same age as my so young cousins…) French girl travelling alone too, an Australian boy with whom I shared a room, and a few other ones.

And then, there has been lonely moments, two of which have been really lonely moments, with bad thoughts and so on. But this only happened twice in two weeks… Most of the time, I just spent nice moments when I was alone, feeling like I was just fine with myself, like I was loving myself and didn’t need anybody to be happy (this feeling even happened to frightened me…).

So, I’m really really happy I did it ! Apart from the trip in itself, I certainly learnt a lot about myself… Coming back has been hard, because after three weeks away, in a totally different context, I had forgotten some of the sucking stuff I have to deal with in my everyday life. But as my dear La Tordue reminded me, it was only a contre coup...

    ¡ Hola a todos ! 2 years ago

I’m in Uyuni, South West Bolivia, and I don’t have any word to say how much I love this trip ! I love being alone, I love meeting people and… I meet a lot of people, for half an hour or for two days…

I spent three days near the Titicaca Lake, then visited the silver mines in Potosi (you can’t imagine how people work and live there…), and I’m now ready for a three days trip in the salt desert !

The "by myself" part 2 years ago

started yesterday ! After a fews days in the Altiplano with my friends, we were so sick with being at 4500 meters high that we decided to separate one day earlier. I arrived yesterday in La Paz, and the city is just fascinating !

I was beginning to feel a bit alone at lunchtime, when a German girl asked me if she could share my table… Feeling much more confident about the “I’m gonna meet a lot of great people” part, now !

Btw, hello everybody, hope everyone is doing fine !

Leaving in less than one week ! 3 years ago

And I really feel excited about it. I should spend the first week with my friends, and then travel alone. And, to tell the truth, if I could reduce the time with my friends, I would do it… I can’t wait to experience the lonely part of the trip !

I'm going to Chile this summer ! 3 years ago

With two friends, but I would really like to share the trip between some time with them and some time on my own.

I've always feared 3 years ago

the idea of travelling on my own. I’m afraid it might be hard not to have anybody to share the trip with, and to end closing myself.
But I really would like to try…
