I still have soooo much to do. We’re only just past the drywall and mud phase. We have the first coat of primer applied and it’s finally starting to look like a home!

I plan on moving in December. The plumber has been busy for more than a month (don’t ask), there are still no electricity, and I definitely won’t be finished with everything, but I will be moving.
Almost ready to have the plumbing finished. One little pesky basin stand that I forgot about and ended up getting something completely different but much better than I was planning on.
It is done. All items on the list are checked and all weekends are building free from here on out. I did it, I did it, I did it!!!! Now I wait ever so patiently for closing and then it’s the big move!!!
Front yard is in. Carpet and vinyl are done. Cabinets are 75%. Base board is started. Garage is fire-taped. Interior doors and trim are in. Interior caulking done.
Still to finish: Cabinets, formica, base board, closet doors & shelves, sinks & toilets, appliances, and tile backsplash.
Yes, much more paint! Interior paint is soooo much harder than exterior. I have 3 rooms left to paint on the interior and then a ton of touch-ups. Once that is done I think I can say good-bye to paint forever!!
Oh wait, I want to actually put color on the walls some day. Sheesh! ;)
The exterior of my house is painted!!
Still mudding and taping the interior. Most of the interior will be on hold so that we can get all of the neighborhood houses painted before it gets too cold.
They will be working on the irrigation this week so I should be able to start rough raking and getting ready for sod next weekend.
Another 2 months. We are in the home stretch!!
The sheet-rock is hung and ready for mud and tape. The front yard is cleared and ready for grating and sprinkler installation. We are really focusing on the outside to beat the weather. Progress feels slow but it is steady!
They are almost done with the sheet-rock which of course means that they can mud and tape soon. Interior paint soon to follow.
The driveway was poured this weekend. I am the only one up on a hill. That makes for a slightly steep driveway. I hope that isn’t a problem in the winter.
The exterior is painted, as ugly as it is, except the trim. At least it is getting finished! I can repaint later!!
I hate the color but at least the exterior is 50% painted. The other 50% is waiting for a break in the rain.
They start sheetrocking the interior today.
The driveway is framed and ready to be poured as soon as the rain lets up.
