All this goal really amounts to is me wanting a very large collection of books, as such, this will take time, especially since I want those books to have all been read at least once. I’d REALLY love to have a good majority of them to be classic books, and someday a complete collection of the Encyclopedia Britannica will be in it too. As for now, I have a measly 16 books. It’s a start.
How to own a personal library
How I did it: I've asked for books I want for my birthday/Christmas, bought a few in used bookstores or online, and also have used swap sites (such as Swaptree or PaperBackSwap) to collect the majority of my books. Yardsales and Library book sales are also great for finding great bargains on lots of books!
Lessons & tips: It's good to remember that you are never done building your
library. You will constantly be adding to it over your lifetime, and
probably will get rid of some books as well. Choose your books carefully, and be cautious in who you buy them from. But most importantly, have fun!
Resources: Paperbackswap.com, Swaptree.com, amazon.com, ebay.com, half.ebay.com, my local library, and locally owned used bookstores.

i’m 18.
i have alot of book, mainly on classical cultures and civilisations, so i bought an entire set of encyclopedias to make a major contribution to my collection.
I bought them from the library and all 24 books (minus edition 8 and 12) came in really cheap. I am really happy i got them, and even if they are a little outdated, they will come in handy when the entire internet colapses from the weight of its own porn sites :P
or a firesale happens and i want to know what a firesale is…
Looking forward to reading them.
bye for now
