Day 3 and I’m finding it pretty easy this time. Roll on day 8 where I will treat myself with a chocolate bar and try and go another week.

How I did it: I managed to sucessfully not eat junk food for 7 days! Today is day 8, and I don't really feel like any still so might continue this for a few more days!I didn't find it too hard this time as didn't have any strong cravings for chocolate etc that I sometimes get at night. Probably the hardest part was turning down the victoria sponge cake at work, but I did feel a bit smug and satisfied watching everyone else shove food down their throats!! Read how I did it…

I usually try to eat no junk food for a week every month. I’ve done it once for a whole week, but usually give up on day 5! This time, I will do it. But I’ll start tomorrow as I’ve eaten a slice of coconut cake already today ;)

Messed up on the weekend. Don’t know why it’s so hard for me to stay away from sweets on the weekends. However, I will say that I managed to restrict on the amount so I didn’t eat as much as I used to.
Anyways, I’m not giving up on not eating junk food but I think I’ve realized that it’s a process for me and there are a lot of underlying emotional issues too – I know I comfort myself with food.
I’ve come a long way already and I’m giving myself credit for that – I used to eat sweets and chocolate on a daily basis, it would substitute regular, healthy meals and I was miserable. Now, I’ve gotten to a point where I don’t eat junk on work days and that’s a big step for me.
The weekends are still a problem but like I said, I feel that I’ve managed to cut down on the amount and that’s a good start for me. I will continue working on this and hopefully soon get to a point where I CAN actually go a whole week without it.
My name is Gaia and I’m a sugar addict :)

So yesterday was day 1 without any junk or sweets – well, sweets are the main problem – and it was a succes. I ate my healthy afternoon snack as planned which bypassed the whole afternoon sugar craving. So not even a tic-tac!
Today is day 2 and I feel confident that I can lay off the sweets again today BUT ooooh…I accidently agreed to go out for ice cream with a friend tomorrow. So now I’m bummed. I’ll see if I can bring myself to pass on the ice cream, if not I’ll buy the smallest one, preferably sorbet or something like that.
AAAARGH I’m failing!! I feel blah.

First day – easy so far but that’s because I’m at work.
I usually have a sweet tooth in the afternoon and I know that it’s because I either skip my afternoon snack og eat it too late so I’m too hungry. So today I’ve brough a healthy afternoon snack to work in hopes of avoiding that sugar craving.
That’s step one. And it’s an “easy” challenge. The hard bit is the weekend because that’s usually when I go completely sugar addict crazy – it’s comfort eating too. But I’m making a food plan for the weekend and that will hopefully help.
Wish me luck guys!
My niece had a family birthday on Wednesday and a public one on Saturday. I had cake both times.
I’m still giving this goal to myself, because the point was to exercise will power, to say “no,” and I did, every single day. I stayed away from the candy bowl at work, I had healthy snacks…and it was good. Now I know that, for the most part at least, I can do it.
Next I have to figure out how to make this a life change, instead of a temporary one. My body doesn’t like junk food…but keeping junk food out of it doens’t seem to be that easy.
what a great idea. it’s only a week and i don’t even consider dark chocolate junk unlike that generous handful of dragibus candy balls i just ate. i’ll let you know how this goes when my sugar headache wears off.

I don’t plan on doing this anytime soon, so I’m moving it off my list for now. I will do it eventually
