learn ftp

My wife and I want to go and live in Crete. We have been there several times and love the island and its people. We have made many good friends there.
In order to communicate we want to learn some Greek this winter. so here we go…...

I’m not exactly a pro yet, and I’ll have to use a GUI version more often than I would like, but at least now I can get around for quick stuff.

I’m getting a little bit further along. (further? farther?) I figured out that part of my problem is that my localhost computer is behind the school’s firewall, so I can’t ftp back to my own computer when I’m ssh’d into my webhost… so I have to run two different connections to do what I want to do.

Ok, I’m actually going to get this checked off the list. I didn’t find the best site for it, but at least I found something to help me wade through the process.

I know that the graphical FTP programs are probably easier, but I really need to learn how to use ftp from the commandline.
