Read a book in Portuguese

I haven’t used portugues for the past half year and I’ve noticed that I’ve forgotten lots of it. So I’ve started to revise vocabulary. I had always been rather lazy in that respect, so I was often at a loss for words. :)
I’ll probably have to do a grammar revision as well before I start to work on this goal.

I went to the book market at Largo do Machado this sunday and picked up a dictionary and a book called O Melhor das Comédias da Vida Privada by Luis Fernando Verissimo.. I dont’ know much about it other than it being a collection of short stories and that a guy in a book shop said it was funny.. just in case I also picked up a Mônica; a comic book for kids :)

I’ve just finished reading a novella by José Saramago. But that wasn’t really a book, it had only 40 pages and also it was in Portuguese and German, so I was able to read sentences I didn’t understand in German. Therefore, I think it doesn’t really count. It’s just a step towards the actual completion of the goal.
I’ll get some other Portuguese-German books, so I an practice some more and learn a few new words before I actually buy a book in Portuguese.

My mom gave me a book to read in Portuguese. It looks good. I will start it tonight.
