learn to deal with death

to deal with my father’s death

...it’s a fact of life. I think I can deal with it now in anyone but my own kids.

I just found out today that my friends grandpa died this week.
I’m not sure if I should call her because I don’t want to intrude on her family, and also because i’m not sure what to say. She should be back at school on monday, so I can have a chat with her then. But should I do something like send flowers? Or just wait for her to come back to school?

I don’t know how to cope when someone dies, i don’t think about it and block it out, so far my great grandma, my aunt and my dog have died but when i think about it i dont feel anything, i dont feel sad or happy, just nothing. it makes me feel so shallow, like i dont care, but i don’t know how to feel. My aunt and great grandma dies years ago so its not a big issue in my family, but ive always felt this way about their deaths. why?
