better writer — 1 month ago
reply to a newspaper article.
i am taking this english class and the teacher is beating it into our brains about how to write. i got a C on my last paper. i went for help today and she worked with me. i feel a lot better because she really helped me out. according to her i just have a page and a half to work on. which isn’t too bad at all. hopefully i’ll finish it by tomorrow afternoon.
Thank you for this, i am a horrible writer with lots to learn and improve on.
I will try to blog more regularly and attempt to improve my writing skills.
If I could write what my imagination shows me as artistically as it is portrayed… then I’d feel accomplished.
I want to write. Script comics and stories into pieces of peoples everyday lives. And vice versa. I’m consistently letting myself get distracted by the b.s. of life and its stealing me away from my goals. I hate that, ya know? I get all these ideas, inspirations and inventive streaks, story-wise, and then it all goes to hell cuz i don’t prioritize my wants and needs. That needs to change. I need to get more focused on what I wanna do and I need to maintain said focus. So…here’s to it!
Creative writing classes should be a good start, no?
Though, I hate poetry. I miss the fiction unit of my creative writing class. :-(
Not worth it!
It’s one of those things, right? The more you do it, the better it gets. But do I really care if I become a better writer now, now that I’m not being graded (we’re always being graded) enough to have it as one of my life goals? I dunno. Need to think about that. However, it does seem that the more I try to be interesting, the less interesting I become, at least to myself.
at school i always get really good grades on my english coursework or tests, but when i try to write at home i always look back at my work and think its not of a high standard.
if anyone has the same problem or any tips please comment them.
