How I did it:
I always wanted to have my space on the www.
I explored content management system and then started working on it. I started with wordpress then moved to Joomla and now I am on Drupal.
In my personal opinion, after using the above CMS- Drupal is the best content management system and it makes running a website so easy. I could have programmed my website completely by myself as I am a computer science guy and know almost all the web programming languages but these CMS makes life so easy :)
If you want to have your own website and need some help feel free to contact me :)
Web Hosting: If you don't want to spend anything on creating your website then you can get free webhost and also free co.cc domain
I added this because many people are in a big confusion that creating and running a website is an expensive affair. But in reality it is FREE !! You just need to put in some effort and time.

How I did it: I first was searching on how to create a website on bing search. Then I found one. IT REALLY WORKS! You go onto the website: www.wix.com. Then you just do the rest. The website will take you from there. So I hope you have a nice website! Read how I did it… 1 month ago

How I did it: I'll only include how I made a site using methods available to you today. What I used several years ago was pretty basic but the focus and pathway is still the same.
- I focused on the purpose of my site.
- Began to learn how to code basic HTML
- Copy and pasted a lot of code from other sites to try out on my own. This way I did learn quickly how certain code snippets work!
- Used a good HTML editor e.g. WYSIWYG
- Used an old copy of Photoshop to learn how to make my own simple graphics, banners, headers etc.You can try the free Gimp software which works the same way using layers etc.
- I kept reading and learning new design skills from books and online.
That's a short list but it was my main starting point. To make a final point here, I did a degree which included website design and development. I was surprised to find that my skills and knowledge after a few years was more than enough to pass these University papers with ease.
So yes, you can do it well, self teach and succeed.

I started a while back so I’ve seen and tried a few styles. The worst sites I ever saw were the ones done using MS Word – I tried it once but didn’t like it, too hard/ugly. Lucky we don’t need to use that anymore. There’s Wordpress for everyone to try out! 3 months ago
