speak cat

Well.. 2 years ago

It really depends on the intelligence of the cat – however it is like any foreign language or speaking to a child – they understand far more than they let on. Both cats I have ‘spoken’ to have been siamese or part thereof. I could have an entire conversation about anything – I would speak and the cat would respond with different intonations etc. Can’t be convinced that we were talking about the same thing tho. However he understood me very well – I would shout at him to get upstairs if I knew he was doing something in the kitchen and he would go halfway and shout at me – I would repeat myself and he would moan all the way up the stairs. This is without me needing to move! I think you have to find the way of speaking your individual’s cat language and don’t worry what the book says – they let you know what they want, how they want it, where they want you etc…

another finding but now about cats 3 years ago

Still investigating the complicated sign system that cats have designed in order to communicate with humans. But I’ve found that cats, unlike dogs, are more sensible to whispers, when you want them to come. When you want them to stop doing something, whispers and shouts are to no avail, the only thing that have worked for me is (don’t laugh) clapping my hands near the cats. (they will look at me in astonishment and stop whatever they are doing)

with just understanding, i could do 4 years ago

later i will add “speak cat fluently” and “master cat”, but for now, i would be glad if i could only understand my cats, really, not just think that i can read their eyes or things like that.
