If it never happens, I won’t waste my time being sad about it. My parents will always think what ever they choose to think of me and I’m over that.

How I did it: I let my parents down in a BIG way a couple of years ago ... so much so that they didn't speak to me for months. I decided to turn my life around and show them that I could be a good daughter to them, and to make them proud of me again. I thought the way to do this was to wait until they told me (unprompted) that they were proud .... Well, my Mum told me a few weeks back, when I got a new job ... and today I ran my first mini maratho… Read how I did it…

I have Cancer and I don’t know how Long I will Live but I want to make my parent proud…...thank you…...Rhea
It seems like whatever I do no matter how hard I try I can never do anything right. My mom always finds me just an anoyince and it seems like she always asumes im not trying at all whenever I do anything even if im trying as hard as I can. All I want is to feel like im wanted and not just a waste of space.
stargirlblue is amazing
My parents are so wonderful and supportive, I just want to do something which will make them proud of me. They deserve it.
Koji Happy and hopeful
So far, I am doing what I can. I do it because I want to. Just knowing that there will always be love makes make me feel so careless how lame doing whatever it is that my parents want me to do. Heh, hope everyone has a pleasant day.
alwaysandnever67 is so thankful<3
How do you know when you make them proud? What makes them proud? I wish I knew. I struggle with this so often. I’m daddy’s little girl. I just want him to tell me he loves me, and I’m perfect, and that I’ll be successful at whatever I do—and for him to mean it with his whole heart. I do so much, especially compared to my three brothers, but I still feel like it’s not enough. I feel like he’s not proud of me… 18 units, plus work, plus doing everything they ask me to do… What more does it take?

... my first semester of college!! Now that winter vacation is coming to a close, I have to say, all that hard work and staying up until 4 AM to finish essays/projects/drinking those 5 hour energy thingys was worth it.
But seriously. $3 for a small bottle? It felt like I was Alice in Wonderland.
For everything they’ve sacrificed to get where we are at now, and for everything they’ve done for the family and what they continue to do so we could have a better life, I owe it to them… to make them proud of me.
