Anyone out there watch 30 Rock? In the pilot episode, Alec Baldwin’s character described Tina Fey’s character. Unfortunately I don’t remember the exact words he used, but he may as well have been describing my wife four years ago. During this time, when my wife would throw on some makeup, take off her contacts, and put on her glasses, the resemblance was uncanny.
But there’s more to it than that. Tina Fey has made being a geek completely acceptable and cool. She’s hip, all-knowing, and funny as hell. And, much as I hate to objectify in this way, she really knows how to shake her booty (check out the pilot episode of 30 Rock or any of a half-dozen times on Weekend Update where she got to show it off)!
Seriously, I’d just like to hang out and trade wry remarks and non-sequiturs and such with her sometime.
