... miserably.
Had to go on an outing with my ex today, and it started very well, but by the end of the day he irritated me alot. I know it’s hard but I guess it’s things like that I need to work on. Having a much longer temper would help :)

Tolerance 20 months ago

Accepting people as they are, not expecting new and improved.

to every person, group, and difference. 2 years ago

I had a revealation today, or an epihany, call it what you wish. I was sitting in History class and we were discussing the very racial and sexual intolerance that has kept our world divided for years, when someone cracked a joke about the gay man speaking on TV. I realized that very little has changed in 30 years, and it made me wonder why darker skinned people, or homosexual people, or people of various religions, what makes them any less better than the rest of us? As this realization came to me, i had another. Not only have i been bred in a world that condones intolerance and even suports it at times, I have been brought up by a society that makes me ashamed of who i am. Whether black, white, gay, mexican, tall, short, fat, skinny, society finds something wrong in all of us. We create jokes and protests against anything and everything we consider different, we are completely at odds with anything against convention. I am not going to be ashamed of the person i am, just because society doesn’t approve of me. and i certainly don’t have the right to judge anyone else either, because everyone is different. I saw on a preview for a made for TV movie, this fat girl said “Why should i believe that i am worth anything, when i’m told at least fifteen times a day that i’m not?” Who are we to tell other people what they are worth? Just because someone is fat, or african american, or gay and talk with a funny accent, doesn’t give us the right to judge them. We don’t have to condone their activities, but we certainly need to be tolerant of other peoples differences, disabilities, and dreams.
