take a family vacation every year

2008 Included a San Francisco trip for Max and I. Kevin and I went to England for our honeymoon in September and in December my dad and my kids went to WA to visit my sister. So I traveled with everyone just not exactly at the same time.

2009 is not looking promising for a vacation. I spent a week at home (staycation) in February. I have a baby due in November. Maybe we can do something relaxing and close to home this summer. And if Max goes away to college San Francisco here we come!

Looks like Denver, CO. University of Denver offers Max’s degree program so we will be driving to check out the campus probably sometime in April.

In the beginning of July, my oldest son who is a Junior this year in high school told me that he wanted to pursue a degree in video game design. Evidently it’s a new degree program that only about four schools in CA offer. Three of those schools are in Northern CA.

San Francisco and the surrounding area is one of my favorite places in the world. I love that city so much.

So needless to say, I jumped at the opportunity to take him and the rest of us on a college tour. We did a driving tour of the area, Great America, San Jose and Santa Cruz and had meetings and tours at Cogswell Polytechnical and UC Santa Cruz. I took tons of pictures. We had a great time and the tours really paid off for Max. I’m glad we started this college thing early.

This may or may not be the only vacation we take in 2007. We’ll see. But at least we did go somewhere!

Pacific Northwest journey is complete. Kevin’s mom is bringing up Brian Head for December 2007. The kids will love to go skiing/snowboarding.

is the same as goal #14 – Visit the Pacific Northwest. We leave in a little over a week on Christmas day. We should get there sometime the next day. Rainier, Washington is where my sister lives. I know we’ll be visiting Seattle, Gig Harbor and Portland.

I hope we don’t have snow over Grant’s Pass.
