    Financial Independance 8 months ago

I really need to get a better grip of what I have and work harder at setting financial priorities. I want to become financially able to handle emergencies when they arise, help others in need or take a spontaneous trip when I desire to. I realize that this goal can’t be achieved successfully until I work harder and MANAGING what I already have and learning to save more, spend less and increase my income.

One of the best things ever 8 months ago

I went out of college 4 years ago and found a good job right away, I’ve been financial independant ever since. Obviously, I had tough and good times, but it totally worth it!

Heading to College 12 months ago

I’m heading to college, and I’d like to find a source of income that doesn’t put a heavy burden on my parents. I have a job, but i’ll have to quit once the year starts….so…I have to become financially stable over the next couple years until I actually get a decent job.

Got the job, working toward a better job (or at least better paying!). Working the plan one step at a time.

    Don't! 17 months ago

I say, if you can afford not to be one (i.e., supporting yourself, having paid all your debt-not making new ones), why should you? Enjoy the perks while they last!

    :)

But then again I am already financially independent.

    ;-)

    Good luck!

So it's been a while 17 months ago

Graduating from college without going straight on to grad school thrusts you into the real world with the added pressure that you must take care of yourself.

So i’ve followed the pack…moved away from home, got a job, got an apartment, and am basically supporting myself….so financially independant.

It’s only now that I realize how much effort my parents have put into supporting my needs for the past 22 years. Now it’s time to show them that their hard work has paid off…

i <3 you mom and dad!
