How I did it: I was browsing in Sephora since they have a lot of different brands, and I asked one of the salespeople about a red lipstick and gloss to put over it. Instead she pointed me to a red lip gloss, which I was hesitant about because they usually don't turn out a nice shade on the lips. This one definitely delivered though! I forget the brand, but the color is called "Jo." It looked great with my new blonde hair and will be perfect for the holidays. Plus, with the money I saved by getting a gloss, I got a lip plumper to play with!

I have found that MAC chilli is quite good. It has a fair bit of brown in the base. Being a redhead I find it hard to find a colour that doesn’t turn a gross pinkish red shade after an hour.
The only issue I have with it is that it is quite dry and needs a gloss coat to keep up appearances which makes it quite an effort to use every other day.
Now I just have to work on getting the lipliner to go with it.
Now I can cross this one off. Spent nearly an hour in our local dept store today trying on lipsticks – wanted to find one that didn’t make me look like a little girl trying on her mother’s things OR Cruella de Ville, and finally settled on Dior Addict Soft Cherry. Actually it was fun, I had two assistants helping me at the end – serious stuff!!
