Just got back yesterday from two weeks in Great Britain. It was an awesome trip, and fun was had by all. I’ll try to post some pictures when I get a chance.
My children are rock stars when it comes to travel. Both my wife and I are seriously considering asking CBS to spin up a “Family Amazing Race” so we can compete in it ;)
There were many highlights, but one of the coolest was seeing “Wallace’s Cave” (as in William Wallace, as in Braveheart) where he hid out from the English. It was a short walk from our friends house and was so off the beaten path/away from tourists. It was very cool.

We’re waiting to leave on our first international trip as a family. In about 7 hours we board the plane heading first to London and then to Edinburgh. We’ll spend a week with friends there, and then a week back in London in an apartment we’re renting near Canary Wharf. We’re pretty excited. I’ll post some pictures when we get back. In the meantime, if you have any tips, drop a line. We should have internet access.

We chose New Zealand first, which is perfect for kids. Then my husband and eldest son (10) went to China. Kids like traveling and they are pretty portable. I’m glad we did New Zealnd while the youngest still fit in the backpack because that made hiking easier. I’m looking forwar to a trip to Europe with the 10-year old—there isn’t anybody better to visit museums with than him.
