Learn how to tap

i love tap dancing. It is how i take out my built up aggresion . It is like all the times i wish i was little and could stamp my feet only now it makes beatiful sound now especially in large skilled groiups. If you have never seen alarge group tap dance you should it is amazing. THough tap dancing may not have the same effect on you give it a try

Swap hands – if you learn how to play even a small amount using your pick hand as the fretting hand, it’ll help a great deal.

Most sources of information will try to teach you to tap the Eddie Van Halen way - palm the pick, anchor your hand on the neck with thumb and/or pinkie, tap with index finger and pull the string upwards - but I prefer to use my middle finger, to avoid palming the pick; keep my hand unanchored, to move around more easily; and pull the string downwards, because it makes tapping with more than one finger easier (fret hand hammer-ons/pull-offs, tapping across strings).

The best beginners exercise is to just play trills, one note per hand; when you’ve got the hang of that, vary the notes with the fret hand, then with the pick hand.
