How to dye my hair black

 "It looks like I have picked up lots of blueberries."
How I did it: I went to Germany and bought cheap hair colors. Then I dyed my hair brown, then purple (though it looked like reddish brown), cut my hair and then it was time to dye it blueish black! I asked my friend if she could come to help me and she said: "tomorrow I can come." So the tomorrow came (which is today) and now I have new hair color. Yay! Lessons & tips: Buy a hair color. Ask a friend to help you (to get best result and it's also way easier). Or go to hairdresser. Resources: Store in German, Schwarzkopf: Cosmic Blue, my dear Friend. |

How I did it: I wanted to have black hair a few years ago, I had always dyed my hair so I went for it. I kept it black (and kept redoing it) for around 6 months. I'm sure you all know how to dye hair so I won't get into that but when I tried to dye it a different color (or do red streaks with the black) nothing would take. I have already bought black henna dye for my hair, now i just need to go to my friends so she can help me use it. the only problem being im banned from seeing her cos she was with me when i got another piercing. so yer…. it sucks :-/

I did this in 2005, and here’s a pic of how I looked. It was cool to try, but I like my hair its natural colour (light brown).

i did this a few weeks ago. Problem is, a lot of the colour washed out, so it’s more dark brown with even darker parts. i kinda like it, but my roots are starting to show and i don’t know whether i should dye it black or dark brown. Hmm, could take some thinking.
What to do with this?

I’m not quite sure what to do with this goal. I definately want to dye my hair black, but not soon. I’m going back to black after I’m done with the ‘crazy’ colours. I thought I would have become bored with them after about half a year, but I’m not bored yet, not by a long time. So, this goal won’t take place anytime soon. Should I delete it and re-take it when I’m ready? Or should I just leave it on the list? I’m not sure…
In the photo a friend and I are trying to look like we are pondering on something. We were taking a bunch of silly photo’s :). It is from 2006 and taken in Berlin.

My hair is naturally dark brown, but I’d always wanted to dye it. I decided black would be best with my skin tone and I love it. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find a dye that doesn’t fade. But I’ll keep dying it every 4-6 weeks, I absolutely love my black hair :] .

It is easy to dye hair black, but it’s hard to find a really good product that lasts. I prefer products found at local Sally Beauty supplies store. There are many nice shades of black. Two really stood out: Black Azure by Clairol and Onyx Sheen by L’Oreal Preference. Make sure you buy two bottles if you got long hair (below shoulders) and have a friend help you with hair behind your head.

one afternoon, i dyed my hair totally black, and it is so nice. most people had to get used to it a bit, but it’s awesome, people should dye their hair in a completely different color every now and then, it’s good for health
