my little sister just turned 16 1 week ago

so I gave the car to my parents, for her to use. The way I figure it, this prevents my parents from having to shell out some cash for my sister a car. Yeah, this keeps me from making some money, but in my lifetime my parents have spent far more than the value of a car on me, and have been so good to raise me as they have, that I feel compelled to give things to them to help them out. Now, no more car!

1995 Nissan Altima for sale 4 weeks ago

My Nissan Altima had been my backup car for a couple of years after I bought my electric car, with all it’s small problems left unfixed because I didn’t really need to drive the car every day. Last December through a leak in the engine core plug is now causing all the radiator fluid to run out and I decided to buy another vehicle instead of repair it. I’ve been so busy with school through that I never sold it through and it’s just been sitting for 6 months now (althrough I do run it every few weeks just to keep the engine lubricated). It’s resale value is not high enough to make it worth repairing before I sell it, so it will just be “as is” to the intrepid buyer that wants a cheap car that they can fix themselves. I will list it for sale this week.

Full detail & service... 2 months ago

I nearly had someone buy my car but it wasn’t the right colour…but I fully detailed, polished the car & it looks AMAZING. I have also just spent about $1300 getting a full service & timing belt replaced so the new owner wont have to get this done.

It would be great to sell it soon. But I also know this happens when it is meant to. I sort of need it anyways for a little while longer for my gym membership & for doing some other important things.

it's about time... 4 months ago

I need to sell my car within a month so I can start to save the $$ I would be spending on it in order to reach my long-term goals.

Selling my car..... 4 months ago

I have always had a car, got my licence when I was 18, now 36 and because I plan to move back to sweden where the public transport network is fantastic, I won’t need a car. Living in Stockholm is a very environmentally conscious way of living.

I did live there for about 18 months a couple of years ago now and didn’t have a car and it was fine. You soon adjust. Here though in Australia, Brisbane due to everything being more spread out, a car can be a necessity. Although it can work if living near the city, and to catch the buses is ok too – reading is good then while travelling !!

I haven't even driven the thing 5 months ago

in like three years! I was going to give it to my little sister when she starts driving next year, but she said she’d rather I sell it, because she knows my folks will buy her something anyway. Well, that’s true enough I suppose, and I finally have a couple of ambitions that could use the extra dollars. Here goes!

The Black Widow, as I always called her, has gone to a new home. I’m ecstatic that she sold and I think she went to a guy who will turn her into the hot little car she should be. Thank you craigslist!

Hmm... no takers. 6 months ago

Might have to bring the price down a bit. I did not factor in the fact that this car wouldn’t sell like hot cakes. Uh oh.

Getting Her Ready 7 months ago

My baby is in the shop as I write this. I just got the word that the repairs shouldn’t be too costly so I’m stoked.

Once I bring her home, she’s going to get a bath and a professional detailing and then I hope to have her sold by next week. (Lots of interested in my particular car yay!)

simplyfing my life 7 months ago

I am simplyfing. I am taking the bus, riding my mountain bike in the city and walking everywhere. I only use my car once or twice a month, but I need to thing about it all the time: paying the bills, assurance, checking mechanics… about $500 per month. So I want to sell it and have no car of my property. When I need one, I will rent it for a couple of days, and that’s ok :) I need to sell it for $10,000 to cancel the credit.
