go to a halloween party

I dressed up in black vinyl and took Muni across town to a little restaurant where friends had agreed to come in costume and have dinner. After that, we went to a club on Haight St. called Milk, which was having a 1980s night. If you dressed up 1980s style, they let you in free. The lady challenged me at the door. I said, “I am the birth of goth.” She let me in, I think mostly due to the fact that I committed to the line.

I’ve been asking lots of people in San Francisco if they know of a Halloween party. So far, not a single person I’ve asked is going to one!

The big one in the Castro has been shut down this year because of violence last year. I’d much prefer to go to a small, fun private party anyway.

Does anyone here on 43things know of a Halloween party in San Francisco they could invite me to?

I had a great time at both parties. Many inside jokes.

This year, I’m having a post-Halloween bonfire party. That will be fun to.
