Actually I donate to the WWF on a regular basis, and just recently I adopted a mountain gorilla from an organization that was founded by Dian Fossey. For $41 I received a T-shirt, postcards, and booklet of the mountain gorilla that I sponsored for 1 year. Also, when I was in Uganda I went gorilla tracking and donated $250 to aid in their protection.
To date there are approximately 600 mountain gorillas living in their natural environments. The only way to save them is through ending illegal poaching and human encroachment, creating policies that promote habitat protection, involving the local communities, and by collecting vast sums of monetary donations.
