create something once a month

need this! guitar, riverclay, stained glass, sewing, weaving, beading, mosaic, writing…so many choices!

to hang in the hall way and am now cutting out felt shapes. I figured it would be fun to be able to cut out whatever he’s into these days. I wanted to wait to take a picture before posting but I’ve come to accept that I’m a slow picture up loader and should not be relied on.

This is the is a bigger piece. Everyone kept talking about how it wasn’t done. It feels pretty done to me.

We’ll see….

This one is definitely not done. The snake needs eyes.

This was supposed to be a floral in warm colors. The teacher walked by and said, “Well, you’ve taken it in another direction…..”

All of these may be tweaked yet – if I can figure out how to do that.

The task on this one was to do something floral in cool tones.

for my bf’s kiddo’s birthday. It was 2/3 done so I just needed to do the last 4 pages. I honestly don’t know how those “artsy” mamas do it. I wanted to spank SB every time he walked directly on a page. Yes I gave him his own project. Yes I let him help. Then why did he want to sit directly on me and use his feet to ruin the pictures and rip things and have meltdown after meltdown when I wouldn’t let him do so. I may have had a tantrum myself but luckily grandma came in just in time and entertained him while I was able to finish it in time for the party. I feel like I can’t do ANYTHING at all unless he’s asleep. And he has been a terror lately. On the positive side he is getting more interested in crafts himself so I have high hopes that we will someday sit side my side (not him on top of me) and work magical art. Sooner than later. Especially hope his awfulness will also leave sooner than later.

Hope you don’t mind WN I’m joining you on this one. I like that it’s such an attainable goal. I can do once a month.

The flash makes this look a bit odd but it’s even less like itself in the pictures without it.

This is all white paper (or cardboard) that I painted except the gold.

These are so my aesthetic. I love how these look.

Pretty good for a no-sew project. I would have done a lot more detail if I had only been doing one or two.
