How to quit caffeine"Hard... but I so worth it!"
How I did it: I was on a "STARBUCKS A DAY" habit! Not only was it wasting my money but it was annoying my boyfriend. When I would wake up and need Starbucks or some sort of caffeine, he would make fun of me or get a little irritated. It was like I had to stop my life to get some caffeine and if I didn't, I suffered a migraine for the rest of the day. So how I did it was: Lessons & tips: Some helpful hints that I can add are:

How I did it: I needed to get the caffeine out of my system before I did the Master Cleanse, so I stopped drinking coffee (my only source of caffeine) on 3/18. I drank a lot of water and took lots of naps! It took four days before I felt good again. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I got tired of being addicted to caffeine, but mostly I could feel my heart race too much and a 'jacked-out' feeling I did not like. I noticed my blood pressure was higher than it should be too.I weaned myself off it a little at a time (to avoid the monster headache). This took time, about a month. I still have coffee if it's the only thing available, but I sip it through a straw and actually drink very little. Read how I did it…

simplyash It has been a long time since I've been on!!
Yesterday was okay. No headaches really, just a little tired. Today has been a little more difficult. I had to get up at 6 this morning for a work meeting (and I am not a morning person) with no coffee, I did have some decaff peppermint tea, though. But after the meeting I was exhausted and took a nap for a little while. Woke up with a headache and have had one all day.
Good news though, I went to starbucks for my peppermint tea and had no desire to have coffee or anything. :]
Things are looking up..

Today has been a really good day for me. A little bit of a head ache but nothing nearly as bad as the last two days… :] Really no craving either. I will be surprised if it is THIS easy…

Day one: after I had gone to work, I got the worst migraine EVER. And day two has been just about as bad. Accidentally ate some chocolate, but had no relief from that anyways… On to day three… Anyone know of any natural energizers that I won’t get addicted to?

Today as been a great day! I feel so good, I had to look back on what I have consumed today to double check it didn’t have caffeine. I don’t have a headache at all, the only thing is that I am kind of craving some starbucks. :[ But I WON’T!

I haven’t gone to sleep yet, but this is officially day one of quitting caffeine. Until I have quit, meaning no headaches and no desire for caffeine, I will have green tea on occasion, but no more energy drinks or coffee. I had my last red bull today. I am ready to complete this goal.

I want to stop drinking coffee every morning. If I don’t, I get a KILLER head ache and I hate this! I still love tea and want to drink tea in small amounts, but coffee has to go. So for the last few months, I have tried to drink less, but when I get a headache, I give in OR I take an Excendrin, which has caffeine. But I am ready to do this now. I have a can of Red bull in my fridge which I will drink tomorrow before work, and then I am calling it QUITS.

and wake up with a headache in the morning. because it stains my teeth. and because it costs me money that I could put towards my financial goals. i won’t go cold turkey, but will try and cut back over the next few weeks, then give up completely for 3 months to see if it makes a difference.

I’ve cut back to nearly nothing (Only Decaf coffee and only one of those in the morning, everything else is water), and it sucks. I’m cranky ALL the time and I’ve dropped my head onto the keyboard twice already which shows how drowsy I’m getting.
On the bright side, it’s getting better, I’m more awake when I’m walking around at lunch time and I wake up easier in the morning.
Can’t believe how much I relied on the stuff. Can’t wait till it’s over.
