KOL are amazing live performers! The concert was completely sold out, thousands of people at Madison Square Garden in NYC, so incredible!! I felt high off their concert for days and weeks afterward it was so awesome! I’ve never had so much fun at a concert before! The guy next to me was screaming “I love you Caleb!” and my friend and I joined in! All I can say is Wow.

Seen them live twice now and each time they get better and better. And so do their albums. Most bands suck live, but KOL gives me back my faith that there is talent out there not just studio enhanced singers.

We caught them on the last night of their own tour, Sept. 30 at the Gothic in Denver, and both my wife and I were blown away. I’ve loved their music since the very first EP; she’s only vaguely familiar with them from hearing me play them. But we both just loved the show. They didn’t even play the two songs I most wanted to hear (“Day Old Blues” and “Holy Roller Novocaine”), but I didn’t care. I was into it from beginning to end. They’re an incredibly tight group, and really amazing live. They played four new songs, by the way, and I am now officially holding my breath for the next album.
We also got a kick during the otherwise-boring opening act, by the way: Matthew and Jared came out and watched most of the set from the seats directly in front of us. I’m not a person who gets starstruck, but still it was pretty cool.
