Learn how to cook indian food

So we made a tikka marsala…canned sauce. We added Potatoes, peas and tofu. The tofu was ok. I don’t think it was firm enough or maybe we should have sauted the cubes a little before adding sauce. But the sauce was yummy, and my sisters house smells like Indian Food…and probably for the next couple of days.

So my sister found a canned indian sauce. They have butter chicken, tikka marsala, etc etc. All you have to do is add chicken. We haven’t tried it out yet, just bought it yesterday.

But would this count at cooking. Because the biggest problem isn’t find a recipe, its finding the ingredents. mostly the more exotic herbs and spices. We were lucky and went to shop at a World Market that is 30 minutes from where we live. And they had these cans. So i figure if it tasty yummy then i say viola.

I’m hoping to get a cookbook for christmas.

Its really gotten me to like tofu. i think the spices and techniques make is deliscious. Its so unique and addictive. But i’m poor and its kinda expensive. So cooking it myself woudl be great.
