Visit the dentist

I still have a lingering problem that I need to see another dentist about, but I returned to my dentist this week and have the follow ups scheduled. So, I can mark this off.

Yikes. This is going to happen.

No way. I hate this. And about a year ago some dentists did a little experiment on my molar that didn’t work. I need to have this addressed, but I really, really, really, hate to deal with it.

I had my wisdom tooth pulled three weeks ago. It wasn’t so bad. The worst part was the consultation the week before I had the tooth pulled. I started crying in the doctor’s office. I was so scared to just be in the dentists office after 14 years! So many memories from the last time I was in a dentists office and what a traumatic experience it was, I guess. I’m surprised the guy still wanted to take my tooth out! He was fantastic. I still need to go to get just a regular old cleaning, though, so I’m leaving this on my list.

I got TOOTHache.. It hurts a lot. i need to visit the dentist. Cannot be stubborn. Yah, i need to remove my wisdom tooth too.. Its going to hurt a lot..

Ok, I’ve done this once since I joined. Not again since though. The dentist said I had a tiny hole in one tooth and asked me if I wanted him to fill it in there and then. I said I would make another appointment and I was true to my word. But then work came up and I cancelled. I’m quite worried as I have never had a filling. But I don’t think waiting it out is going to solve this problem!!

.... the root canal procedure that appeared to work so well 3-4 weeks ago now, flared up this week, and back to the Dentist I trot today…

Unfortunately this can happen occassionally, so I had the canal cleaned out again, and am now on antiobiotics…

I so hope this is it!!!!!!

So most of the time I was in France I had a very bad tooth pain. Once I got to Russia I was worn out by it so I asked Marina to make me a dentist appointment. Andrew came with me as a translator, the first day was pretty bad because the dentist needed to kill the nerve. I came back to the office and layed down wishing I had brought my Vicoden to the office.

The second day I went back it was much easier and the only thing that really bothered me was holding my mouth open so much. The really kewl thing about the dentist here is that they do xrays that print right up on a computer. I have not seen that before (you know just the plates and then it goes through some type of developing). The dentist here was very modern and he was very nice and had kind eyes that looked out over his mask. The girls all were skinny and wore short skirts. Everyone was in white and the doctors shirt had a little tag that said EliteDoc in greens and reds. It was kind of kewt.

Now that tooth is all better and really I should get a few more fixed but one is enough for a while and nothing else hurts… Why do anything until one is pain… as my russian boys say Later Later…

.... this was a necessity…

After spending the Easter holidays not feeling particularly well, and a slight nagging in one of my teeth, it was off to the dentist today – very reluctantly.....

I am so very privileged to have an excellent dentist, and I don’t know why I even hesitate to go.

So, off I trot today, thinking that I may have upset a nerve or something similarly non important – BUT NOOOOOO... it just had to be a root canal, didn’t it????

Sooooo there I am, having the beginnings of a root canal procedure, another appointment next week, and my wallet decidedly lighter!!!

The upside – I will feel much better really quickly, and I will feel awesome for our trip to Sydney next week….

I make appointments and then cancel them. I got as far as the waiting room in November and then used a flimsy excuse to walk out (receptionist accidently let the patient after me go first). According to their records, I haven’t been in 5 years. That’s hard to believe!

I will try to actually make it for x-rays and cleaning before the end of January 2008.
