Sometimes you can plan too much. This is a goal that I started a long time ago and finally it happened with very little planning and unexpectedly.
A friend of mine sent me an email saying that she’d be going to Cape Split and was wondering if it was close to me. You have to practically go through Wolfville to get there, so I said yes and I wondered if she’d seen the goal on my list but she hadn’t. So my son John and I and my friend headed out and had a very lovely afternoon hike.
For the round trip it took almost 4 hours, but it was worth it. It was windy and beautiful at the end of the trail and it’s a bit scary with cliffs surrounding the end. Very spectacular to see and I definitely want to go back again.
It feels very good to cross this off the list of things that I’ve done.

It’s been second time that I will go to the same National Parc… My boyfriend wants to try to see Blinding Turtles(s)... he didn’t suceede last year. We’ve seen a lots of snappers…. but they are here as well (New Brunswick)
We will once again take Princess Acadia Ferry from St John to Digby. I want to visit other places in Nova Scotia as well… Cape Split seems as a nice place to go…. I don’t enjoy myself when looking for turtles and my hun doesn’t like hiking or biking in trails and parcs but it will only be fair if for once at least we do something that makes me happy as well.. It can’t always be his way… Worst comes to worst: I’ll go alone and leave him in parc by himself and will come to pick him up on last day… I wish he had his own car! I just want to leave and see new places…. This is like a realtionship with my grandfather…. There’s only 6yrs of age diffrence in between us! But WAHT A DIFFRENCE!
I am functionning with a map I saved from last trip and searching on net for pictures and things to see and do… but if anyone knows any nice places not too far away from Digby and Keji let me know, please!

go for it! it’s beautiful. it’s a nice day hike, of course, but if you have time, and a light enough tent, consider sleeping up there.

Hiking to Cape Split apparently takes 2 hours each way. Yesterday my son John and I hiked around a trail in Blomidon Provincial Park. It’s not as long a hike, but it is on the opposite side of the peninsula where Cape Split is. It was a lot of fun and was a great way to get some exercise as well as some peace and quiet.
I’m going to go hiking more very soon.
