I want to get my tattoo. It’s a memorial for my nephew:
How to get my tattoo
It made me 
"Designed my tattoo, found a reputible artist and parlor and had it done."
How I did it: Took some nerve to go, but finally mustered up the courage and did it.
My dog passed the day before, so I decided to add my dog's name at the last minute. The artist's apprentice did a nice job with the lettering.
Now it's a double memorial tattoo.
Lessons & tips: Find a reputible artist.
Make sure they use disposable needles.
Ask questions, a good artist is not afraid to answer. If the artist gets nasty with you asking questions, think what they'll do to your body.
Relax and start small.

I don’t have any tattoos. Nothing has ever struck me as a good piece of art to put on my body forever, until I saw a picture my dad drew… It’s an Indian looking to the sky. I’d like it across the width of my back, or smaller on one side of my chest. Not sure yet…No color, just black ink…

I actually have several I want to get. I’ve got a design in mind, it’s 6 individual tattoos in different places on my back (2 of which I already have), that will be integrated to form one design. One of them I would actually like to have branded on, rather than tattood, but I’d have to find someone I seriously trust to do that.

I went to lunch yesterday with Pam and she showed me her new tattoo. She is someone that I would definitely call my peer so it totally reaffirms that I don’t have to feel bad for wanting mine. It was bigger than I want mine (maybe?), but I know that if she can do it so can I. Thanks for being an inspiration Pamela Jamela!!!

Still have a consultation appointment for the other one, though.

I’ve had the same idea of what I want for about 4 years. Grapevines on my lower back, the exact design and size vary from time to time but that’s it. Now it’s just a matter of making myself go and spend the money. The sign of a Mom, guilt over spending a few hundred dollars is more powerful than the thought of physical pain.

Re-thinking the design. And the placement.
But, I have a consultation appointment. My artist was BOOKED until September. Going to try to get in sooner, although now I have to decide 100% on design.
