watched live earth concerts here and there yesterday (really, how could i not? they were on every frickin’ channel). tons of bands had really cool tambourine chicks. wooo! tambour tambour I need to get my mom to buy me a cheap one on e-bay or something.
So, since I have no inherent rhythm, hubby gave me his drum sticks so when we drive around he makes me tap out the beat to songs. I am getting much much better. So far I can only do one hand at a time. He says the hardest part when you first start is learning to do think of your arms as two separate entities and work out the beats… I like to so far and I feel less of a galoot with some new-found rhythm. I suspect Hubby is making me learn drums, too, cos his band needs a drummer. But, they’re going to be waiting a long time, if they’re waiting for me.
so my friend dave’s band is willing to let me jam with them sometime. and also, i am trying to get my hubby to get back together with his band… so I can play the tambourine. His potential mates already ok’d it. I’m going to be awesome. I just need to figure out how to play it…?
