A few months ago in my boxing class, I saw a guy with a shirt that said ‘Boulder Outdoor Survival School.’(http://www.boss-inc.com/) Sounded neat so I decided to look at their website. The website just got me more interested as I read about all the programs they have to offer. But like everything else I look up, I forgot about it as soon as I got off the computer. Well I’ve just been reading about Yossi Ghinsberg, who got lost in the Amazon and survived on his own for three weeks, when he was finally rescued. Scary but fascinating! It just reminded me of BOSS. I really do want to do it. I need to start saving up for my travels, be it this first or Europe. I’m going to do it.
Of course I’m not against going elsewehere for a survival school. I did find one that is closer to home, WSC Survival School (http://www.wscsurvivalschool.com/index.html).
But then again, why would I want to do it closer to home?
