We went to see Lord of the Rings, while we were in London, England. It was three hours long, and, looking back on it, I’m glad we went.

I’ve been to see two musicals, and they were both versions of a couple of my all-time favourite films: Forbidden Planet and The Rocky Horror Show. It’s a real fun experience and I hope to visit the theatre more regularly now. (Seeing an opera is the next one on my list!)

I liked musicals but only the old ones… they are the best

High School Musical! 2 years ago

It was put on by a local group of theater kids in Seattle! It was too adorable.

I saw RENT Friday night at the Paramount in Seattle! Loved it! I had already seen the movie but this was a whole different experience!

More musicals 3 years ago

Went to see Mary Poppins in London which wasn’t as good as The Producers, think it was definitely more a children’s thing, although it had some uplifting messages (Anything can happen if you let it!), and I think you needed to be much closer to the stage, as the actors were very stiff, and stayed in corners of the stage, rather than the centre, and everything seemed to be more facial rather than a big song and dance number- which seemed a bit silly. Whereas The Producers used the stage really well, so that everyone could see what was going on. Mary Poppins did have an amazing set though- it seemed to overshadow the actors though- think that was their main problem. And the dance numbers just weren’t big enough.
Think it would be a magical experience for little kids though, especially if it was their first musical.

Spectacular, spectacular 3 years ago

I went to see The Producers at London’s Theatre Royal, we were right at the top on the balconly (cheap seats), took hundreds of flights of stairs to get there, then was quite worried I’d fall off, was really really good though and really funny. Got off to a slow start though, was really worth the money fun fun fun. Had gone to see a musical for free before that as some friends go to the Royal Academy of Music and snuck me into a musical about a famous Italian director, it was good but I don’t think the story was worth making a musical out of.

Amazing. 3 years ago

It is amazing what young teens between the ages of 12 and 14 can do! Their beauty and the beast production was excellent. Well performed. The boy that played the beast was only 12 years old and he had a really deep and wonderful voice, his voice broke when he was 9! The girl that played belle did an extraordinary job and all the other roles such as Mrs Potts, Chip, the candle, clock and the feather duster and wardrobe were cast superbly. Definately one of the best productions I’ve seen in my life. Oh and Gaston was EXCELLENT. They couldn’t have cast a better guy.
Oh and Belles father and that guy that follows gaston around were also amazing.
All in all the production was wonderful and I am now singing beauty and the beast songs in my head.
Never miss the chance to see a musical.
