This went much better that I expected. It sounded not too bad and was fun. I bought some reeds that were way too hard for my unpracticed embouchure, but I downgraded and sounded alot better on the new ones. Then I got a cold and my lungs were struggling to blow for a while. But I plan to get back on the clarinet wagon soon.

I’m going to buy a box of new reeds this week and move my clarinet down from the high shelf in my closet to see if it needs repairs.
So I at least KNOW where my clarinet is.
The last time I got it out, I squawked and then I squawked some more. But I can remember the fingerings, or at least I think I do. I might even be able to play a chromatic scale if I just let my fingers go and don’t think too much.
I can at least take it down from the shelf in the closet in my grandson’s bedroom . . . OK, so now it’s down and much more accessible.
Sordino78 is always, always doing something!
You know, I went to college on a full paid music scholarship, graduated in clarinet performance, and played in a couple experimental bands around town. Now, I’m an English teacher and a graduate student in Education and I have no time! I haven’t touched my clarinet in almost 3 years… I think I’m also scared of how rusty I’ll sound!
