I really want to do this one. I heard alot about it and i have seen some beautiful pictures. Any 43-ers from Oregon or Washington? I would love some tips on where to go and what to see where to eat etc. Maybe I can meet a tour guide.

mforbes321 is grateful to have so many good friends.
I had a wonderful time visiting my sister, her husband and their new home. We saw Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia and Portland as well as Yelm and Rainier. It’s documented on my blog starting with this entry if you’re interested in reading about it.
I’m so glad we went. Everyone had a great time.

On Christmas day my family consisting of my boyfriend Kevin, my two boys and my father will get into a rented SUV and make our way to Washington. We don’t have to be back until New Years Eve.
While in Washington, in addition to celebrating Christmas and my dad and sister’s birthdays, I hope to see Seattle again as well as Portland, OR. I have yet to see Portland and I am really looking forward to it.
We may see Victoria, but I have a feeling we’ll be saving that for next time. My dad thinks it’s a bit much but me…I’m always up for adventure.

mejaka is on the preferred substitute list--for Project. Weird.
—and generally prefer rural to urban, mountains to beaches. But the PNW shoreline is really incredible, and the little islands…Sailboats in every little harbor…The cities can be short-term fun even for a wilderness lover like me. And of course, Powell’s is in Portland, so there you go.

We talked about going to Portland at the end of this summer. I guess it depends on where we are (as a couple?), but I hope it works out.
