My friend and I went on one of Air North’s Gateway Getaway air/hotel packages to Whitehorse, Yukon. The price is very reasonable…the catch? The deals are only available at certain times of the year. We went during the first weekend in February. Yes, February in the Yukon. It was freezing (-14C), though actually warmer than some other cities further south. The scenery is gorgeous, and Whitehorse is a neat small city with a frontier-like, edge-of-civilization quality. Watch for beautiful ravens…and a few coyotes. :)
