Relocate

I live in a place i really want to be.Desolate. Came here out of necessity not choice. I have lived here 5 years so far and feel it has somehow removed me from myself and changed me negatively. I am obliged to stay another year and then after that I can relocate. I am fearful that I wont have the courage or wherewithall to do it. Like I said Im changed.

I’ve lived in a few states, and have visited many more. I live someplace I don’t want to be. I am here because of necessity and a divorce decree. I will never leave my children. Eventually I will leave here because I will be damned if I die here.

To do:

Pack up our old life (hand in notice for house & job, settle bills, pack up our things, let everyone know – friends, family, services & subscriptions)

Make the journey

Find a flat

Find a job

Settle in!

My original plan was to emigrate and get out of this country entirely. But, circumstances change and instead, we’re moving about an hour and a half away! Hubby’s new job will be great though, and it’s the first step to getting away from the situation we’ve got ourselves stuck in.

But at least we might be able to afford a house!

The bay area is making it so hard to have any money saved. Living paycheck to paycheck even with a reasonable salary.

I’m thinking somewhere balmy and relaxed and without the sky high cost of living.

So far I’m accomplished my main goals, move out of the parents, quit my job, be more independent, but a change would be so refreshing in my life!

So a co-worker just threw some more into the 2-year plan. He is suggesting we move to New Zealand. I am totally down with this as long as I can be called a Kiwi!!!!

So my relocation has now officially been named the 2-year plan. I will hopefully get all my issues out of the way and decide on a place to go in 2-years.

Took a recent trip to Springfield. It was a big change from San Diego which is nice…but very brown. It is very green in Springfield, lots of trees, pretty, pretty. I can see how change in scenery, seasons, can have an impact on people and their moods. So much happier being there. Very sad to leave.

I am currently in San Diego CA. I have been thinking about this for over a year now. I want to go somewhere that has more affordable house. I spend all my time working to live here that I am not able to enjoy it. few obstacles in the way. I have to clear out my debt and decide where i want to go. I am considering the midwest right now.

but i have been here for three years now, away from the town i grew up my whole life in. when i look back on it, i am comfortable in my own town, having places that i love. i still miss my home town, but its nice here. i hope to re-locate again back across the state someday.

i want to be out of here when my kids start highschool, they are horrible here.
