I’m sure I could probably start running now, very little by little. However, I’ve gained plenty pounds and lost plenty fitness since I ran cross country in high school. I plan to start by working on my fitness level other ways (I find running when I’m totally out of shape to be much more torturous than other workouts), and then when I’m in reasonable shape again, I’d love to training for some races.

I have started training to run in a “Race for Research” fundraising for Multiple Myeloma. My dad has this fatal kind of cancer and I made a promise to myself to do all I can..and this included running in that race. I’ve only just begun, but it feels good to have motivation, and a goal I am passionate about.
I’m glad I did it…but I probably won’t do it again. I had a pretty irritating hip problem for almost a year after it. I walked in the next race, but I am glad I did it.
i did a half marathon in may and felt wicked. then got depressed and lost it all. lol. i’m gonna do it again and better my time (1:58)yup. no more failing for me :D
