I started school in January of 2009. I will take my comps in August and formally graduate in December. I am studying Secondary Education. The coursework has been hard work but, a lot of fun as well. After student teaching next semester, I will only have 3 courses left.

How I did it: No kidding,.. you will get all mixed up with emotions..unbelievable.. but when you are finished.....you just can't tell or explain how "clear" your mind after all that.. But there's a lot of satisfaction..esp if you get all the As in your papers (in taught master) Read how I did it…
How I did it: I found a program in which an American university sends its professors to other countries to allow people living abroad to pursue higher education. The degree was in Education - I would have preferred another area, but this was what was available, and the price was right. The cost was closer to 6,000 than the 10-20 thousand that many other programs cost. So I decided to go for it, and use this as a stepping stone to get yet an… Read how I did it…
How I did it: In order to get a master's degree you need to keep going, keep going and keep going. You need to set aside time to for homework almost every night. Know that you will learn a lot and the learning will happen even more after you finish courses as you apply what you have learned. Good Luck. Read how I did it…
How I did it: In the beginning I didn't plan very much and just did courses that I found interesting. Then came a period of low motivation during which I had to complete boring courses. I almost dropped out but then decided to give everything a final push. I listed everything that had to be done to complete the master's, then made a schedule and followed it tightly. The same with writing the thesis: I set aside a fixed number of hours every day and wor… Read how I did it…

Well, I finally applied and got accepted. I’m in my first semester of my first year at VCU. I am majoring in Urban and Regional Planning. I plan to concentrate on Historic Preservation.
I’m in my first semester of a Master in Teaching course, which will end with me being credentialed for elementary education. It isn’t the Masters Degree I originally had in mind, but it’s good.
undercover_laura is slowly getting back into 43 things...watch out :-)
my eyes are going square from this screen, it better be worth it at the end!!!
(well it already beats working 9-5!)
I was accepted to Florida State University’s Master’s program in Urban and Regional Planning. I will begin my studies August 2010!
Grad school sucks. It is way harder than I imagined, really expensive, but I hope that I get a more interesting job when I finish my MSEE from a fancy expensive school.
milkbox is happy! is even happier still :D
I’m in a masters degree program right now… and it’s been awesome! :)
whataboutscience the exercise and Bible reading going well, the journal-not so much...
I just graduated and earned my B.S. and I’m getting married soon. In a year or two, I would like to start a master’s program. In the mean time, I have to decide what to study. I love to learn and there are a lot of things I could enjoy…math, physics, theology, I don’t know yet!!
I picked up my degree today!!!
I finished the reqs for the MA 3 months ago so it was a little while ago now, but man, it feels good to be holding that piece of paper :)
JakeB is feeling better
I’ve been thinking about doing a masters for a few years now, but the difficulty has been deciding what to study. I’ve bandied around doing an MA in Children’s Literature, studying Folklore and now I’m seriously considering Creative Writing. I’ve held off the latter – I mean, writing shouldn’t necessarily need ‘official’ study, but now I’m thinking it would be ideal. It would improve and support my writing, allow me to tutor others if I wanted and I can also take the next step towards a doctorate. I’m doing some research now, and hoping to apply within the next few months. A is also looking to do an MSc in Community Studies so our house is going to become study central if all goes to plan!
