What i think is that people don’t have confidence to do something that takes a little more skill, concentration. When i got my myspace i didn’t even know how to use it and that was less than 2 years, half a year ago i decided to create a website, but i got so frustrated that i left the project. Now I’m back and some how it seams a lot easier than before, the only thing you need is a little more confidence in yourself, you can check my website at www.animepimp.net
How to master HTML
How I did it: I started learning html when I was in 5th grade and never stopped reading and taking classes on in. All in all it is really useful. I don't think I am going to make a career out of it but it is really fun.
People doing this are also doing these things:

Once you know HTML, learning other programming languages is a easy. If you ever want to own your own website or just have an awesome Myspace profile, learning and mastering HTML is a must.
Its so simple. But boring to learn. But just think. Once your done you can make full blown sites. I would suggest css over html but still, learn html. It opens up doors to learn php and other similar languages.
Yea, HTML was confusing at first sight, but its maybe the simplest ever language. I’d say it’s worth doing.
Once you understand the idea of tags, HTML is actually pretty simple.
i’ve been doing html for a year at least and I still need to know more about forms and javascript to make an awsome website. though there are other things in html that I dont know. so I hope that someone can help me out.
ANY IDEAS??
XHTML 1.1 is nice. If you’ve already mastered HTML and know XHTML, learn XML/XSL—it’s an entirely new beast.
Unfortunately most people have little appreciation for good html. They tend to ignore it. But that’s often the goal. If nobody screams bloody murder about your html, you’re probably on your way to mastering it.
P.S. Be nice to your html. feed it regularly.
