Pick fruit at an orchard

On Sunday I took a mini road trip up to a farm in Newburgh with an old friend to pick apples. Other than a shortage of my favorite variety (Granny Smith), the place was great. Along the way I took in some early fall foliage and saw a lake with swans. It was very storybook-esque.

We also picked eggplant and peppers. I had the brilliant idea to try and eat one of the orange peppers to see if it was a baby bell pepper or a full-grown spicy pepper. I definitely think it was a habenero. Ooof.

picked apples at a lovely orchard every year since I was a little girl. I eat a bunch while I pick them so thankfully they only way my baskets and don’t weigh me on the way out LOL!

I’ve also paid to ride a wagon out at a berry farm and pick strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries. I love all fruits and they are certainly fun to pick, especially knowing you are going to go home and make a fresh apple pie or strawberry shortcake… YUM!!!!!!

Last October we went and picked apples and pears at an orchard. It was really fun!
