Joyful mind is infinitely better than quiet mind. 3 years ago

I used to persue quiet mind, and that was good for controlling out of control thoughts. Now, I practice joyful mind, where I sit and imagine anything and everything that feels good to me. It’s so much easier and way more fun, plus you can feel the energy flow amp up in your body.

My motivation 3 years ago

I’m trying to learn how to sit with my own stillness. To stop fighting it so hard. Stop trying to convince myself that there is any one way things SHOULD be and furiously scurrying toward it. It’s exhausting. I need to trust in things more…trust in myself more. Reawaken my belief that things can happen organically without my needing to push or prod in such a heavy-handed manner. Anytime I sense stagnancy or feel in limbo I struggle to break away. I would really like to recognize the value inherent in these moments of stillness because I sense they tend to be there for a reason.
